Charlotte S. Krause is a neurotic woman who is seemingly obsessed with her job. At first glance, she doesn’t seem like an extrovert, but when she's passionate about something, she becomes extremely passionate. Charlotte has to deal with both her alienating job as an administrative assistant and her severe anxiety and developing alcoholism. She is also Robin’s cousin, childhood friend, and the closest thing he had to an elder sister. On an unrelated note, she does not like being called “Charlie”. She is lesbian.
Charlotte is energetic, entrepreneurial, and shrewd. She is very hotheaded and generally easily irritated, but if you get on her good side, she makes a good friend. Charlotte is also very audacious and impulsive, sometimes making decisions and taking risks on the whim. She has (well, had) a thing for adventure and experimentation. Charlotte is very anxious most of the time, and sweats a lot. She also has perfectionist tendencies that lead her to keep working until she finishes her task, even to her own detriment. Charlotte used to have greater ambitions, but at some point gave it all up due to her failed attempt at starting a business. Maybe something or someone might rekindle those ambitions.
Charlotte has to deal with severe anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and even intense depersonalization. She feels like her actions aren't her own and are just pure instinct, and that she isn't really here, neither in the office, nor in this world. Not only that, but she has to deal with both her terrible manager and memories of a failed relationship. As a result, she copes by drowning her sorrows in cheap booze. However, this has also resulted in severe hangovers, poor work performance, and worsening impulse control, which has resulted in strange and sometimes even violent behavior. She doesn't have the time (or even money) to treat her alcohol addiction; she sees her job as more important than her health or safety (let alone others).
Charlotte has a pessimistic outlook in life. She had greater dreams of success and entrepreneurship, and came to Green Island because of it, but they have long since been crushed. Now, she just wants to make enough money for her and her father to survive, even if it means digging her own grave or drowning her anxieties in a neurotoxin every night.
Charlotte has dark brown smooth medium-length hair tied in a ponytail, green eyes, and wears glasses. She is 176 cm / 5'9" tall, weighs around 82 kg / 180 lb, and 22 years old; her preferred color is yellow/orange. She usually wears a brown cardigan with shoulder pads, a white button-down shirt underneath, a brown miniskirt, and black shoes.
