"I don't want to be some miserable bastard of no redeeming value, I want to be a better person, and I don't want to keep pushing people away. I just want to love, and I just want to be loved in return... And yet, despite everything, I'm still doing something wrong; I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. I really hate how nobody wants to say to my face what exactly is wrong with me."

Robin Clarke is a miserable bastard who feels empty and aimless most of the time. He is trying to salvage his life and turn over a new leaf by moving to his cousin Charlotte's house in Green Island City, a place known for its eccentricity and proud identity as being on the cultural bleeding-edge; He just hopes the ghosts of the past won't continue haunting him. On a definitely unrelated note, he is bisexual.

Robin is creative and curious. He likes to read and write stories for fun, but often also gets lost in his own thoughts and actions. He also has a thing for stories (be it TV shows or video games or whatever) with a wide range of depth and emotions that are arranged masterfully. Robin is a gloomy and troubled man who has to deal with intense emotional instability. However, if he’s not feeling intense guilt, shame, anger, sadness, or some other negative emotion, he usually feels empty and bored, especially in many situations that would usually have resulted in joy. Robin tries to be more open and friendly towards others, but instead, he would usually come off as awkward. He would sometimes suddenly start trying to help people without being asked, only to mess that up and accidentally offend the person. Often times, Robin doesn’t know what to say or even talk about, but when he does know what to talk about, he will go at length about the things he's passionate about. He is also very impulsive and occasionally does and/or says things on a whim.

To put it bluntly, Robin hates himself. He views himself as a pathetic coward and all-around bad person who runs away from his problems and lashes out at others instead. Robin feels extreme guilt and shame for his past actions, and wishes to become a better person. Robin still feels guilty about his past friendships and relations with people he used to care about, and still dreams of reconnecting with them, despite knowing how futile that is. He doesn’t trust his senses and memories at all, and often feels disconnected from reality and even his own sense of self. This also results in him having extremely distorted interpretations of his past. Robin did not forget the traumas of his past, nor did he repress memories of it (because that isn't a thing that happens). In fact, Robin very vividly remembers all the times he messed up, and still has nightmares about them. He's just incapable of describing them without either intense self-loathing, or outright refusing to recall. In other words; he's definitely likely exaggerating his backstory a bit.

Robin feels like there's nothing he can do to make the world better. He feels jaded and hopeless, like he's just a spectator in the world, watching as the actors try to pacify everyone. He is unsure of any way to do something about it, and even if there was, he simply doesn't have the time or volition to do it. Furthermore, Robin has a general distrust for people, due to past experiences of failed friendships and betrayals. His outlook has only made him more distant from others and made him feel lonelier. Robin used to have many passionate opinions on many controversial things, but has since given up on them. It's only a matter of time before someone or something rekindles it or takes its place.
